Finespun from Multiplicity
As I was working through this painting, I knew early on it would be titled "Finespun". I knew the hidden layers of paint were ultimately going towards the subtle reveals and be used in conjunction with the textured effect for the surface of the painting. The stippling reminded me of wool and just like the manufacturing of fibers eventually becoming finespun to a single strand. The process for this painting was very much resonating that exact sentiment of streamlining ones’ knowledge and experiences towards the fine details of design. I think we can all relate with the fact we use information, knowledge or experience we've gained early in our careers either in big or small ways to help model us within our current profession. Finespun is a representation of all the years of development within ourselves that have come to be drawn together in multiplicity to form a complex strand of one's detailed path. And just as an abstract painting may mean something different to everyone, I wanted to give a little insight into my process for this one.
May happiness be a major component in your path to success...
