Abstract Expressionism

"Always remember to stay flexible in your process when following your creative direction, this will inevitably lead you to a happier place with your work."

When developing a painting, I love the use of color palettes that I typically work within my interior design profession. So whether I'm selecting a paint scheme for a multifamily community or selecting coordinating fabrics for custom furniture, the opportunities to get inspired and have fun with colors are endless.

This color palette based with warm and dark grays, ecru, jewel-tone indigo blue, cerise, and dusty golds is a favorite because of the versatility to be used in contemporary interiors. Its neutral foundation as the base and selective areas of bold color placement are used sparingly and with contrast. This color combination lends itself to rich texture and depth which I love.

The painting above is titled "Amour Énigmatique " and is now available in the Fine Art Shop under the Organic or Bold Collection.
